Why did SPS establish an Annual Fund?

Practically all private schools, both religious and secular, have established annual funds to bridge the gap between tuition and the cost of educating their students.  SPS always strives to provide more and better services to its students and to improve the quality of its existing services and facilities.  SPS also aims to make tuition as accessible as possible to the community.  Increased fundraising via the Annual Fund enables SPS to continue to enhance the student experience while minimizing any tuition increases.

 

Are donations to the Annual Fund tax-deductible?

All donations to the Annual Fund are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.

 

How are donations to the Annual Fund used?

The Annual Fund will be used for the improvement of the school and the student experience, including need-based financial aid, facilities improvements, technology, and attracting and retaining talented staff members.  

 

Are families required to give to the Annual Fund?

SPS encourages participation by all of its families, but donation is strictly voluntary and is not required.  

 

When can I give?

SPS will hold a fundraising drive for the Annual Fund once per school year, typically in the spring.  However, donations are accepted at any time.  Simply identify the donation as going towards the “SPS Annual Fund.”

Is the donor list published?

SPS does not currently publish the list of donors to the SPS Annual Fund.  If SPS chooses to recognize donors in the future, donors will have the option to donate anonymously.
