Get Involved at SPS
As a small, community-focused private school, SPS thrives on volunteers and fundraising. We have lots of volunteer opportunities throughout the year for our families and community members to take part in.
Substituting
Consider signing up to substitute! We're always looking for substitutes for both our preschool and grade school classes. Because there are two teachers in each classroom, substitutes are never in charge of lessons but are there to help support the teachers and facilitate the movement of classes from room to room throughout the school day. Subs are paid a daily rate and are not required to have teaching experience, but must pass a background check prior to being in the classroom. Email Lauren at ldellinger@shallowfordschool.org for more information or to sign up!
PTC
Consider joining our Parent Teacher Council (PTC)! The PTC is in charge of planning events throughout the school year, fundraising, and helping find volunteers. Please click here to learn more, and email shallowfordptc@gmail.com with any questions!
Donations
SPS accepts donations of new and gently used toys, books, puzzles, and art supplies. Please consider making a tax-deductable donation today! Email ldellinger@shallowfordschool.org to coordinate a donation drop-off.
Fundraising
Fundraising is how SPS is able to continue to support our families & community and keep our tuition costs low. In addition to smaller events such as our annual Mother's and Father's Breakfasts, Spirit Nights, Box Tops, and poinsettias during the Christmas season, SPS hosts two large fundraising events each year: Joy of Giving during the Christmas season and the Annual Fund which accepts donations year-round.
