At SPS we believe that all children grow and develop at different rates through different learning styles. Children are given the opportunity to explore, create, and problem solve with materials that are developmentally appropriate.
Our theme-based curriculum allows our teachers to develop unique and creative learning environments. Lesson plans are developed according to specific, grade-appropriate objectives addressing the whole child with the goal of establishing a foundation for learning to last a lifetime while fostering a sense of self and social caring.

Literacy
SPS maintains an ever-growing library full of books for all reading levels and interests which students can check out during school hours. Each month, an author or genre from all around the world is highlighted, which our Media Specialist reads and discusses with each class during their Library special class time.
We also celebrate Read Across America Month with a reading marathon and special guest readers, host an annual Read-A-Thon, and have two book fairs each year.
Day-to-Day
SPS encourages center-based learning within the classroom. Throughout the school day, students engage in small-group activities and whole-class instruction. Our curriculum is aligned with the Georgia Standards, allowing teachers to select from diverse resources to cater to each student's unique learning journey. Alongside math and ELA blocks, students enjoy creative science lessons and social studies exploration. Weekly specials feature Spanish, Art, Music, Christian Education, Library, and Technology, with each class enjoying a full 30 minutes of recess. Click here to view our grade school curricula.

After School Opportunities
SPS is happy to offer daily aftercare from 3:00-6:00. Aftercare attendees get homework help, free-play time, and playground time.
Morning care is also available beginning at 7:30 AM.
In addition to our aftercare program, we also partner with local programs to bring fun and exciting after school activities to our campus!
